Death Valley

We love the outdoors and recently we went to Death Valley on a little expedition. 
 Here, Mike pretends to taste some salt from Badwater Basin
Death Valley is really big, really dry, and really hot. That makes winter the best time to visit. It was still mid 80's while we were there.

 It has been one of Tawnya's wish list destinations to see the moving rocks in Death Valley.  These rocks move by themselves and leave trails behind them showing their progress.  Lots of theories on how they move, but no one has ever seen them move.
We also visited Scotty's Castle. Mike is standing next to a cut out of Scotty. However, the flash washed it out and he looks kind of ghosty.

This is Darwin Falls. For as desolate as Death Valley is, it was surprising to see a waterfall.
